Sensia Healthcare has a highly experienced staff of medical personnel, all supported by an outstanding support team.

Andrew Seter, MD, MRO, President and CEO

Dr Andrew Seter, Sensia Healthcare, MilwaukeeAndrew Seter, MD, MRO, is president of Sensia Healthcare, a comprehensive Occupational Medicine program and joint venture with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System. Dr. Seter earned his undergraduate and master’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School, Chicago, Ill.  Dr. Seter is Board Certified in internal medicine and occupational medicine, and completed a Fellowship in Occupational Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer.  Dr. Seter serves in a medical advisory capacity to a variety of Milwaukee-area employers and frequently speaks to industry groups on topics ranging from ROI for worksite wellness to strategies for workers’ compensation cost containment.

 

 

Edward Cooney, MD, MRO

Edward Cooney, MD, MRO,  joined Sensia Healthcare in 1999 and is presently Medical Director of the Park Place Clinic. Dr. Cooney received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School, Chicago, Ill. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa where he remained as staff in the emergency department prior to his move to Milwaukee. He was in private practice internal medicine at the Milwaukee Medical Clinic for eight years before joining Sensia Healthcare. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer and regularly speaks to industry groups on alcohol and drug awareness in the workplace. In addition, he oversees Sensia Healthcare’s Travel Medicine services.

Paul Mankus, MD, MRO

Dr. Paul Mankus received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Iowa State University. He received his MD from Creighton University and completed his residency at the Medical College Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee. He has practiced in Milwaukee since 1985. He has taught resident physicians and medical students in addition to his primary care practice for the last 25 years. He joined the Sensia staff in 2007.

John M. Serrano, PA-C

John Serrano has more than 25 years of medical experience with the majority of his training obtained from a 22-year military career. He was originally trained as a Naval Corpsman and progressed in his career to an Independent Corpsman (provided medical care to Naval personal onboard ships independent of a physician), and eventually to physician assistant training which was completed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and San Diego Naval Hospital. He obtained his degree from George Washington University in 1993. For the next eight years, Serrano was involved in a wide range of medical specialties to include: internal medicine, urgent care and emergency medicine, dermatology and family practice. Serrano retired from the U.S. Navy in 2001. He has been with Sensia Healthcare for nine years.

Keith J. Hacker, PA

Keith Hacker graduated from the University of Iowa Physician Assistant program in 1988. The program at that time ranked first in the nation. Physician assistant students trained with medical students in their classes and on the rotations through hospitals and clinics learning how to diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions.  After graduation, Hacker worked for St. Luke’s chemical dependency center in Racine for about eight months followed by 12 years as a family practice physician’s assistant in Milwaukee and almost nine years in occupational health in his current position with Sensia Healthcare.

Lauren Chiavola, PA-C, MPAS

Lauren Chiavola completed her undergraduate training in biomedical sciences at Marquette University. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies through Marquette University, graduating in May of 2008. She has experience in emergency medicine as well as outpatient clinics. Chiavola is a nationally certified physician assistant and is currently licensed to practice in Wisconsin. She started her career with Sensia Healthcare in June of 2008.

Anne E. Schwarz, ANP-BC

Anne Schwarz originally attended UW-Stevens Point and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in communications and sciences. Schwarz also attended Marquette University where she obtained her master's degree in nursing. She had rotations in occupational, family practice, internal and emergency medicine. She has worked alongside neurosurgeons in their clinic, worked at St. Luke’s Hospital, and spent several years working in the Elmbrook Memorial Hospital emergency room. She has obtained several credentials and certifications within nursing, including as a trauma nurse. Schwarz is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC. She joined Sensia in 2008.

Michelle, Skierka, MSN, APRN, APNP

Michelle is a board-certified family nurse practitioner through the American Nursing Creditation Center (ANCC).  Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing, located in Madison, WI in 1996. This nursing program was raked within the top 10 nursing schools in the United States at that time. She also earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree with Family Nurse Practitioner focus through the joint efforts of Winona State University and the Mayo School of Health Sciences during 2006 in Rochester, MN. While earning her Master's degree, Michelle worked as a staff registered nurse at the Mayo Medical Center/Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester, MN, specializing in critical care nephrology, inpatient dialysis, and general medicine.  Her family nurse practitioner experiences include the following clinical areas: outpatient nephrology and hemodialysis, anemia management, community health and family practice with the Hispanic patient population and urgent care. In her free time, she volunteers at a volunteer family nurse practitioner through the Granville Health Center Clinic with the uninsured populations of northwestern Milwaukee. She joined Sensia Healthcare during July of 2010.

Mary Kelly, MS, RD, CD, CDE

Mary Kelly is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes educator. She is currently a a Health Promotion Services coordinator at Sensia Healthcare, teaching lifestyle awareness classes and providing wellness consulting services for Milwaukee-area businesses.  Kelly is also certified by the American Lung Association as a tobacco cessation facilitator. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s of science degrees at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee.  She has worked in various health care settings as a clinical dietitian and most recently as the regional director of Nutrition Services for the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare system. She has taught nutrition courses in the dietetics departments at Mount Mary College and MATC. She has also developed and taught numerous community nutrition classes in the areas of weight management, cardiac, diabetes education and women’s health. She has been with Sensia for three years.
