Post Offer Physicals
Sensia Healthcare offers physicals for job candidates to determine their ability to perform job functions.
The best strategy for reducing Worker’s Compensation related medical costs is to act on the “front end” of the hiring process and require a comprehensive Post Offer Physical for each candidate.
Depending on the job tasks and working environment, the Post Offer Physical should include:
- Personal and Occupational Health History Review
- Physical Exam
- Musculoskeletal Assessment
- Vision
Additional ancillary testing, such as baseline audiometric testing, respirator fitness medical evaluations and various lab tests may also be warranted. For physically demanding jobs, a Physical Capacity Evaluation (PCE) may also make sense.
Sensia Healthcare’s role in this process is to act as a medical consultant and provide a Placement Recommendation about the applicant’s ability to safely perform the job. Ultimately, it is the employer’s responsibility to complete the hiring process.
