Fitness for Duty

Sensia Healthcare can help you determine if a job applicant or current employee is physically able to perform the essential functions of a job.

The term “Fitness for Duty” is used to define an individual’s ability to safely and effectively perform his or her job.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires employers to be certain employees can safely perform the physical demands of the essential functions of their jobs without creating a direct and imminent threat to the safety of themselves and others.

As an employer, a Fitness for Duty process may be used in a variety of circumstances, including post offer/pre-placement, job transfer, recall, and return to work (for non occupational and occupational reasons).

Sensia Healthcare's Fitness for Duty services guard against costly injuries by ensuring that employees are capable of performing their job functions.
