Functional Capacity Evaluations

Functional Capacity Evaluations objectively assess individuals' functional abilities or degree of impairment for their jobs. Before injured or sick employees return to work, we make sure they can do their jobs safely and effectively.

Reasons for an FCE:

• Recommend restrictions or accommodations as employee is returning to work.
• Determine abilities and limitations to close workers' compensation cases.
• Assess general capacities after injury or surgery.
• Establish need for job coaching or further rehabilitation.
